About Lucy Butters
Lucy Butters is a Master Facilitator in Cultural Intelligence and a CQ Fellow, an elite CQ certification. She has been working to support organisations be more internationally effective and inclusive since founding her training and coaching company Elembee Ltd in 2010.
A bespoke approach brings Lucy in front of many audiences, ranging from Boards to students and everything in between. Universities, hospitals, banks, engineering and consultancies reflect just some of the organisations she works with. Working with such a diversity of audiences brings a richness to all her work.
A CIPD qualified trainer, Lucy also loves to work with trainers and facilitators to develop and enhance their training capability with cultural intelligence.
Previously Lucy worked in research and teaching roles at the universities of Aberdeen and Hertfordshire before joining the British Council and working in international cultural relations roles linked with developing and implementing strategy to support the international ambitions of universities in Scotland.
It was working to develop leaders across UK and 9 countries in Near East and North Africa that re-engaged Lucy with her passion for training and development and led to the creation of elembee.
On a personal level Lucy lives in Glasgow with her husband and as parents of triplet sons they are frequently reminded of the need to adjust thinking, actions and expectations.
